A few week's ago, when we sat down with designer and cyclist, Jun Chan, we couldn't let him go without telling us what he sees as essential for his everyday life.

1. Ricoh Gr II
I usually carry this point-and-shoot camera everywhere with me, whether I’m riding or just out and about. I take lots of pictures whether it’s capturing a moment or something inspiring for work. It’s the perfect size to put into a pocket and the pictures you get out of it have much more personality than a smart phone. I get asked all the time 'what camera do you use?’ and people are always surprised when I show them this.
2. Specialized Allez Sprint
It’s an aluminium crit racing frame that I’ve ridden for the last three years. Being an ambassador for Specialized, they've have kindly tricked it out with Roval CLX 32 wheels and some nice S-Works touch points, including a saddle that’s been 3D printed! Bike snobs will probably look down on anything that isn’t carbon but for me it does the job. Also, I’m not someone who has bikes for different seasons, I use this all year round. We’ve shared some serious highs and lows together both figuratively and literally!
3. TyreKey
Any cyclist will know how frustrating it can be when you get a puncture. This is a fantastic little tool to help with getting the tyre on and off your rim without ruining your thumbs or trying so hard you burst a blood vessel.
4. Birkenstock Bostons
I actually bought these just before the first lockdown and what a purchase they turned out to be. I've brought them along to a few cycling shoots I’ve been on, they’re really comfortable and easy to slip on before and after a ride. People do like to tell me I’ve got my ‘house slippers’ on, now that I like to wear them out and about!
5. Burberry Heritage Car Coat
A prized possession of mine, which reminds me fondly of my seven years at Burberry. It’s made from gaberdine; a tough, tightly-woven and water resistant cotton fabric, which was invented by Thomas Burberry in 1879. Being a designer, I love how innovative it was at the time and how the design hasn’t changed much since then.
